LTA KPOP 2 EP 6: Top 25 JTBC and tvN Dramas

Joongang Tongyang Broadcasting Company (JTBC) is a subscription network and broadcasting company. It was found in 1964 and ran for 16 years before merging with KBS. It wasn't until 2011 when JTBC started broadcasting under Channel number 15.

Total Variety Network (tvN) is a nationwide general entertainment network owned by CJ E&M. It is available on cable, SkyLife, and IPTV platforms. It launch in October of 2006.

The reason why I put them together is because they don't have a lot of drama or TV series under each of them to get their own post but also because together I can put more together and that mean one less blog post too. Let's get started.

1. Guardian: The Lonely and Great God

Guardian: The Lonely and Great God also known as The Lonely and Great God - Goblin or Goblin is a 2016 tvN drama starring Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook, Yoo In Na, and Yook Sung Jae of BTOB. It is a fantasy romance drama about the goblin who is the protector of souls and the landlord of the grim reaper, who is charge of taking deceased souls. Wanting to end his immortal life, he has been looking for his human bride, the only person who can end his life. His human bride is a high school student who remains optimistic despite the tragedies and difficulties she has experienced in her life. She summons the goblin by chance, and through various encounters, ends up falling in love with him.

The final episode recorded an 18.86% nationwide audience share, making it the third highest rated drama in Korean cable television history behind SKY Castle and Reply 1988. It received critical acclaim and became a cultural phenomenon in South Korea. I have to say this is the must see drama of the year and of any Korean lover or viewer. The story line is amazing and I keep wanting more even after it official ended and I mean I can go for a second season too. Also can we talk about the OST to this drama. From the opening song to the ending song and all the song use in this drama was a hit. This OST playlist is superior. GOLDEN! The cast members of this drama all became household names and we can't stop referring them to the characters they play in this drama.

2. The Beauty Inside

The Beauty Inside is a 2018 JTBC fantasy romance melodrama starring Seo Hyun Jin, Lee Min Ki, Lee Da Hee and Ahn Jae Hyun. This drama is based on the 2015 film of the same name. It is about the love story of an A-list actress. She is known as a troublemaker and the object of many rumors. Her life is a mystery, but, in reality, she suffers from an unusual phenomenon. At a certain point every month, her appearance changes to a different person. An executive director of an airline company, seems perfect. He is attractive and intelligent but he actually suffers from prosopagnosia. The two eventually fall in love.

I wasn't going to watch this drama because the film wasn't interesting for me, but after coming crossing a clip of where she change, I was excited and wanted more. I fell in love with this drama from the very first episode and I was so sad when it ended. This is such a great drama. The cast members was great. The Ahn Jae Hyun and Lee Da Hee couple was wonderful. Love them Also the OST! The OST to this drama is also superior too.

This is the first installment of the Reply series, it also portrays the extreme fan culture that emerged int eh 1990s when first generation H.O.T. and Sechs Kies took center stage and KPOP was just beginning to blossom. The last episode recorded the highest ratings at the time for a Korean cable drama, and the series has garnered praise from audiences and critics for being well-researched, refreshing, genuine and full of humor and heart. This drama starred Jung Eun Ji of APINK, Seo In Guk, Eun Ji Won of Sechs Kies, Shin So Yul, Hoya formerly of Infinite, and Lee Si Eon.

Like its predecessor, Reply 1997, follows a nonlinear story telling where it shifts between the past in 1994 and the present in 2013, making the viewers guess who will become the husband among the male characters. This series follows the historically and culturally significant events that happened in the country between 1994 and the years that follow, including the emergence of seminal KPOP group Seo Taiji and Boys, the Sampoong Department Store collapse and the birth of the Korean Basketball League.

Reply 1988

Reply 1988 is a tvN 2015 drama starring Lee Hye Ri of Girl's Day, Park Bo Gum, Go Kyung Pyo, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Lee Dong Hwi. It is set in the year of 1988, it revolves around five friends and their families living in the same neighborhood of Ssangmundong, Donbong District, Northern Seoul. The childhood friends lean on each other to survive their challenging teen years and set a path for their futures. This is the third installment of the Reply series. It received both critical and audience acclaim with its finale episode recording an 18.8% nationwide audience share, making it the second highest rated drama in Korean cable television history. Unlike the previous Reply series, this series is focused more on the filial bond than romance between characters.

This is such a great series and I love it so much. I came across the first series through a friend who told me that it is amazing and I need to watch it. I hesitate at first but when I saw that Eun Ji of APINK was playing the lead role, I was like okay, let's watch this. I fell in love with the idea of guessing who the husband is for each drama. I was correct three out of three times and I can't wait for the next installment. Honestly, I feel like we are going to wait a long time before the next one come out. I think having the idea of who is the wife for the next series would be a good idea. Yes! No! I cheated on this one because I couldn't pick my favorite of the three because they are all so good and amazing and plus they all intertwine with each other. My favorite scenes are when the other leading actors and actress of previous series do a cameo in the other series.

4. Another Oh Hae Young

Another Oh Hae Young also known as Another Miss Oh is a 2016 tvN romantic comedy drama starring Eric Mun of Shinhwa, Seo Hyun Jin and Jeon Hye Bin. The series held the record highest audience rating for a Monday-Tuesday show and became one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television history. The drama was also extended by two episode and had two special episodes too. A sound director in his 30s was set to married his bride, Oh Hae Young, but she disappeared on their wedding day leaving him miserable. One year later after the incident, he was told Hae Young was going to marry a young entrepreneur. he exacted revenge by sabotaging the business leaving the young entrepreneur bankrupt. However, the woman who has the name Oh Hae Young was actually just a stranger who coincidentally has the same name as the other Oh Hae Young who left him. Coincidentally, this Oh Hae Young is the girl that he had been seeing lately in his vision and he sees snapshots of the future with her in it.

I didn't know what to expect from this drama when I first heard about it other than that the two girls were name Oh Hae Young. I don't read the summary or synopsis before I watch the drama most of the time. I did happen to really like this drama a lot and I didn't want it to end at all.

5. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon also known as Strong Girl Bong Soon is a 2017 JTBC fantasy, thriller, action, romantic comedy drama starting Park Bo Young, Park Hyung Sik of ZE:A and Ji Soo. This series was a commercial hit and became one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television history. Its about a girl that was born with superhuman strength. Her strength is hereditary and passed along only to the women in her family. Her dream is to create a video game with herself as the main character. She desperately wants to become a delicate and elegant woman, which is her ideal type of her crush, a police officer and friend she went to school with. Thanks to her strength, she gets a job as a bodyguard to rich heir and CEO of a gaming company, Ainsoft. In contrast to her crush, he is an eccentric man who is playful, a little spoiled, has no regard for rules and dislikes policemen. He has recently received anonymous threats and has even been stalked, leading him to fire her as his bodyguard after seeing her beat up a bunch of men after they threatened an old man who was an elementary school bus driver. A series of kidnapping cases happen in Dobong-bong, the district Bong Soon lives in, and she is determined to catch the culprit, who targeted her best friend. With the help of her boss, she manages to control her strength to use it for good causes. They find their relationship growing into something more.

This is such a great drama. I got my brother and cousins into watching this drama and it is one of the best drama of the time it was release. It's funny and hilarious and also very thrilling feelings. The cas is great and without them this drama would of not been this great to watch.

6. Drinking Solo

Drinking Solo also known as Drinking Alone is a 2016 tvN romantic comedy and food drama starring Ha Seok Jin and Park Ha Sun. This drama is about the slice-of-life and daily activities around the teachers, students, staffs of a private institution that prepares for civil service exam around the area of Seoul's Noryangjin. The characters like to drink alone after work for their own reasons. The story also depicts the romance between a good looking and professional star lecturer and a rookie lecturer who struggle to survive in the private institute world.

This drama also starred Gong Myung of 5urprise, Key of SHINEE, and Jung Chae Yeon of DIA and formerly I.O.I. as students along side Hwang Woo Seul Hye, Kim Won Hae and Min Jin Woong as lecturers of the private institution. There is also many guest star appearance and/or cameo. This was such a refreshing drama to watch because I feel like everyone can relate to wanting to drink solo and not in a big group seeing the Korean drinking culture. There is a season two, it was said to be coming soon after this release but its been three years and I'm still waiting.

7. What's Wrong with Secretary Kim

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim? is a 2018 tvN romantic comedy drama also known as Why Secretary Kim. This drama starred Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young. It is based on the novel of the same title by Jung Kyung Yoon, which was first published in 2013, which was then serialized into a comic in 2015 via KakaoPage. It is one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television history and the drama is the most search Korean language drama of 2018 on Goggle in South Korea and number three in Taiwan. The plot revolves around the ambitious Vice Chairman of a major corporation and his highly capable secretary. Misunderstandings arise when she announces that she will resign from her position after working for him for nine years.

I was going to skip this one at first but after a clip I was really interested in the drama. Therefore I started watching it and thank goodness if was already half way through when I started because I marathon this series half way and was very happy. The reason why I was happy because the beginning was kind of boring for me and it wasn't picking up fast enough for me. I do happen to really like this couple/pairing and the drama.

8. Hello, My Twenties Series

Hello, My Twenties!

Hello, My Twenties! also known as Age of Youth is a 2016 JTBC youth and romance drama starring Han Ye Ri, Han Seung Yeon, Park Eun Bin, Ryu Hwa Young, and Park Hye Su. This also starred Yoon Park, Choi Deok Moon, Ji Il Joo, Shin Hyun Soo, Son Seung Won, and Yoon Jong Hoon as the men around the five ladies. Its about a slice-of-life story about five college students who connect over the growing pains in their youth. The five girls in their twenties come to live together in a house called 'Belle Epoque' which means 'a beautiful time' in French. Each girl has a particular personality, background, and issues. In addition to the five girls, they believe there is a sixth presence - a ghost living in the house, but each sees the ghost differently. As the girls feel a bond of sympathy and become closer, they also deal with their personal issues as they live out their eventful twenties. The drama follows their struggles and incidents dealing with relationships - within their circles, with dating, and with each other - and a variety of events they are experiencing including credits, part-time jobs, drinking, hopes and dreams.

Hello, My Twenties! 2

Hello, My Twenties! 2 also known as Age of Youth 2 is a 2017 tvN youth and romantic drama starring Han Ye Ri, Han Seung Yeon, Park Eun Bin, Ji Woo and Choi Ah Ra. This is the sequel to the 2016 series. A year has passed since Hello, My Twenties. Each of them got a job, went back to school, is still trying to get a boyfriend, or is getting over her first breakup. One day, a new student arrives at the house with a letter she stumbled upon. The letter is filled with curses on one of the girls at the Belle Epoque.

I was excited for the sequel but was disappointed. The reason why I was disappointed was the original actress for one of the girl didn't come back to play her character. Although I love the character the new actress playing the character doesn't live up to the previous actress. Nothing against her, I just love the original actress more for her character. On the other hand, I would love another sequel for this drama because there is finally a drama focusing on the female leads more than male leads.

9. 12 Years Promise

12 Years Promise is also known as Wild Chives and Soy Bean Soup: 12 Years Reunion is a 2014 JTBC family romantic comedy drama starring Lee So Yeon, Namkoong Min, Lee Tae Im, Yoon So Hee, Lee Won Keun, and Ryu Hyo Young. The native title is a pun and can also mean Jang Gook Becomes Dal Rae: Reunion in 12 Years. The female protagonist's name Jang Gook means 'clear soup with deonjang' which she later changes to Dal Rae meaning 'azalea'. In 2002, on the night of Korea's momentous World Cup win, high school sweethearts Jang Guk and Yu Jun Su sleep together and she ends up pregnant. They are given permission to marry by Jun Su's father, but after a horrible accident, she loses the baby. Their mothers who were against the relationship from the beginning, take advantage of the situation and split them up. She leaves Korea to live in the United States and changes her name to Jang Dal Rae. Twelve years later, they reunite and get entangled in each other's live again. The only problem is that Yu Jun Su doesn't now it's her and Jang Guk doesn't want him to know either.

I didn't know I would like this drama that much after watching it. I think it has to do with the fact that its high school sweetheart meeting each other again in the future. Not only that but the characters and the feelings and emotions they have throughout the drama kept me there with them. The other cast member beside the leading protagonists were amazing. You have to love the younger brother and the uncle in this drama too.

10. Plus Nine Boys

Plus Nine Boys also known as Boys Whose Ages End in Nine is a 2014 tvN romantic comedy drama starring Kim Young Kwang, Yook Sung Jae of BTOB, Oh Jung Se and Choi Ro Woon. This series is about four males who each confront different challenges in love and work at the cusp of a new decade in their lives. There is common Korean belief that anything plus nine (gu in Korean) is always 'cursed' and brings about more hardship than usual, including the ninth year of every decade in one's life. The oldest of the four is 39 years old and is the uncle of the other three male lead. He was once the brilliant production director of the nation's top live music program but his fall from grace occurs when members of an indie band he'd cast drop their pants onstage and flash the entire country during a live broadcast (based on a real-life incident on MBC in 2005). He loses his position and gets shunted to another program, a low-rated trivia quiz show. The oldest son is 29 years old and is a tour planner for a large vacation travel agency. He's self assured, good at his job and popular with women. But he starts having to reevaluate this whole future when he falls into a one-sided love for the first time in his life. The second son is 19 years old and a hot-tempered high school senior and judo athlete. He dreams of going to his dream college on a judo scholarship which means giving his all to win a gold medal in his competitive matches. But an upset stomach during a semi-finals match causes him to lose and poop in his pants, and after that embarrassing episode, his judo ranking drops. He keeps running into a cute mysterious girl all over town and he decides that they're fated to be together. The youngest is 9 years old and a child actor who became famous doing food commercials because of his healthy appetite. He suddenly feels threatened during a movie audition, he loses the role to a new rival and he soon find himself in a career slump.

This is a very good drama because it doesn't only follow one main lead but four of them and it is so cute to see them together. This drama also starred Park Cho Rong of APINK, Kyung Soo Jin and Park Min Ha formerly of Nine Muses.

11. Dating Agency: Cyrano

Dating Agency: Cyrano is a 2013 tvN romantic comedy drama starring Lee Jong Hyuk, Choi Soo Young of Girls' Generation, Hong Jong Hyun, and Cho Yoon Woo. It is based on the 2010 romantic comedy film Cyrano Agency, the series is about a dating agency that orchestrates romantic scenarios for paying clients, all in an effort to raise enough money to save an old theater. After losing his best friend in an accident, the once-renowned theater director suffers from guilt and decides to save his late friend's theater troupe. Using his masterful stage skills, he forms the Cyrano Dating Agency. The early working title was Flower Boy Dating Agency because it is the fourth installment of the cable channel "OH! Boy" series of Flower Boy programming targeted at teenage demographic.

I have no idea what I got myself into only that I know Soo Young was playing the female lead role. This drama was amazing due to the fact of the romantic scenarios that they created for their client. I don't want to be a client but I do want something like that to happen to me. This is a really good drama not because it starred Soo Young but also because it starred Hong Jong Hyun and Lee Jong Hyuk. It also have great guest appearances and cameos.

12. Cheese in the Trap

Cheese in the Trap is a 2016 tvN romantic drama starring Park Hae Jin, Kim Go Eun, Seo Kang Joon of 5urprise and Lee Sung Kyung. The series is based on the webtoon of the same name, serialized on Navor Webtoon from 2010 to 2016, although it featured an original ending since the webtoon had not been complete at the time of filming. The drama focuses on the life and relationships of a group of university students, particularly the difficult relationship between Hong Seol and her sunbae, Yoo Jung.

I think this drama was a great success and everyone loves it but the ending is horrible. One reason is because it was airing and film before the end of the webtoon even finishes. If the webtoon was finish already, the ending would be a lot better but yes the ending is horrible. There is a film version of this drama but I think this version is a lot better because of the amount of story line to the drama is better. The film just cut everything in half and there is a lot of things that need to be explain.

13. Welcome to Waikiki Series

Welcome to Waikiki

Welcome to Waikiki is also known as Eulachacha Waikiki is a 2018 JTBC comedy drama starring Kim Jung Hyun, Lee Yi Kyung and Son Seung Won. The story of three men who come to run a failing guesthouse called Waikiki. Complications spark when their guesthouse is visited by a single mother and her baby. The three very different young men - Dong Goo, the bad luck incarnate who dreams of becoming a film director, Joon Ki, an eccentric actor who performs to make a living, and Doo Shik, a freelance writer who fiddles around doing nothing most of the time - open a guest house in Itaewon where many foreigners come to stay. Although they have no clue how to run it, they're eager to earn money ot pay for the production of their upcoming film. Joined by Dong Goo's younger sister Seo Jin, who actually manages the household in Waikiki; single mother Yoon Ah, who has made an unexpected landing in the guest house with her baby; and Dong Goo's ex-girlfriend Soo Ah, they all start living together in an uncomfortable and suspicious atmosphere.

Welcome to Waikiki 2

Welcome to Wakikiki 2 also known as Eulachacha Waikiki 2 is a 2019 JTBC comedy drama starring Lee Yi Kyung, Kim Seon Ho, Shin Hyun Soo, Moon Ga Young, Ahn So Hee formerly of Wonder Girls and Kim Ye Won. It is the sequel to the 2018 series Welcome to Waikiki. In this series, Joon Ki, an unpopular actor who runs the Waikiki guesthouse is facing bankruptcy due to the bad business. In order to revive the guesthouse, he asks his friends Wook Shik and Ki Bong to invest their savings in it. Wook Shik is a picky person who dreams of becoming a singer and Ki Bong used to be a promising baseball player, but instead is now stuck playing the in minor leagues. After Joon Ki's request, they all put their money into Waikiki Guesthouse and start living there together.

I absolutely love the first series, the second series was alright. I wanted the other actors and actress from the previous series to guest appear in the sequel but that didn't happen. I was originally going to put the first series only because when I create this list, it was at the beginning of this year, January 2019, and now it is June 2019 and the second series already came out. Still the series is still good and very funny because of Lee Yi Kyung's character.

14. Love in Her Bag

Love in Her Bag is also known as Her Legend is a 2013 JTBC romance drama starring Choi Jung Won, Kim Jeong Hoon, Son Eun Seo, and Park Yoon Jae. Despite her poverty and lack of education or connections, she is bright, plucky and works her way up in the luxury handbag industry based on sheer talent alone. She encounters the smart and handsome chaebol heir of a fashion company and her cousin who has to hide her true identity in order to achieve her dreams.

This drama was a very different drama for me because there wasn't a lot of dramas about fashion or bags, actually. Also the beginning of this drama hits your heart. Being an orphans twice and then having her cousin sent to America pretending to be her. OMG! So sad and it just hit your heart. Also this is a rediscovery for my because I haven't seen Kim Jeong Hoon in drama lately too.

15. Hey Ghost, Let's Fight

Hey Ghost, Let's Fight is also known as Bring It on, Ghost. It is a 2016 tvN horror mystery romantic comedy drama starring Ok Taecyeon of 2PM, Kim So Hyun and Kwon Yul. It is adapted from webtoon of the same name which was serialized on Naver from 2007 to 2010. It is about a cohabitation comedy about a ghost of a high school girl who has been dead for five years and an exorcist college boy with the ability to see and hear ghosts. What he's discovered over the years is that he can touch them and fight them off, so when he's in need of a part-time job and can't find one that pays well enough, he starts putting ads online as an exorcist for hire. One night he goes out on the job and faces off with a schoolgirl ghost, and during the fight, they accidentally kiss and sparks fly.

I don't like horror or thriller dramas at all but I only watch this drama because of Ok Taecyeon and Kim So Hyun. It isn't that scary but I can't watch this drama at night at all. It was interesting to watch this drama. I was more excited on the relationship and chemistry between the two leads and how Kwon Yul characters play in this drama. I have to say this was a great drama because of Kwon Yul. I never expected that from his character at all.

16. Criminal Minds

Criminal Minds is a 2017 tvN procedural action drama based on the American television series Criminal Minds. This drama starred Lee Joon Gi, Son Hyun Joo, Moon Chae Won, Yoo Sun, Lee Sun Bin, Go Yoon and Kim Yeong Cheol. This drama follows a group of highly trained profilers in the fictional National Criminal Investigation (NCI) team who track down criminals to solve cases. It begins a year after a crucial error results in a bomb detonating at a hospital, killing several SWAT officers and leaving the NCI team leader confidence badly shaken. He returns to work after a long break and is immediately drawn into a serial murder case which requires the NCI team to collaborate with the local police agency's Violent Crimes Unit. They meet the temperamental police officer who appears to have a bitter grudge against the team leader.

I'm really not into these type of drama nor have I even seen the American version of this series but I only watch this series because of Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won. Overall, it was really interesting and I want another season.

17. Marriage, Not Dating

Marriage, Not Dating is a 2014 tvN romantic comedy drama also known as Marriage Over Love. This drama starred Yeon Woo Jin, Han Groo, Jeong Jin Woon of 2AM, Han Sun Hwa formerly of Secret, Heo Jung Min and Yoon So Hee. It is about a wealthy plastic surgeon who has no interest in getting arried; marriage is all shop girl dreams about. In an effort to get his parents off his back about the constant string of blind dates and marriage prospects, he purposely brings her home to meet his parents posing as his girlfriend, certain that they'll never approve of her. This romantic comedy portrays a man who doesn't want to get married, and a woman who has no luck with potential marriage prospects.

This is such a cute and hilarious drama. I am constantly laughing majority of the time expect when it get serious. Truly this is a great drama to watch and I don't think a lot of people know about it.

18. Shut Up Flower Boy Band

Shut Up Flower Boy Band also known as Flower Band is a 2012 tvN drama starring Sung Joon, Jo Bo Ah, L of Infinite, Jung Eui Chul, Lee Hyun Jae, Yoo Min Kyu, and Kim Min Seok. It is a coming-of-age story about a high schhool rock band dealing with friendship, rivalry, romance and their passion for music. This series is the second installment of tvN "Oh! Boy" series of Flower Boy programming targeted at the teenage demographic. The story of Eye Candy, the band, is forced to continue without their impulsive leader as they struggle to realize their and their leader's dreams.

This series also starred Kim Ye Rim of Superstar K3. I really like this drama. It introduce me to a lot of the actors and actresses: Jo Bo Ah, Kim Min Seok, L of Infinite, Sung Joon, and Kim Ye Rim. This drama reach a point where I was disappointed a little bit but I didn't fully dislike or hate it at all. There was just a point where I didn't understand why they went that direction with the story or even it just kind of got boring for a moment.

19. Gangnam Beauty

Gangnam Beauty is also known as My ID is Gangnam Beauty. It is a 2018 JTBC coming-of-age romantic comedy drama starring Im Soo Hyang, Cha Eun Woo of ASTRO, Jo Woo Ri and Kwak Dong Yeon. It is based on the webtoon of the same name published in 2016 by Naver Webtoon. It centers on the life of a college student who went under cosmetic surgery to evade derision from her bullies yet her plan seems to backfire as her peers ridicule her artificial look. The little of the webtoon and of the TV series alludes to the Korean word gangnammi-in (Gangnam beauty), a derogatory term in South Korea for people who have had a lot of plastic surgeries. It is one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television history. It also garnered praise for its portrayal of issues afflicting South Korea society, particularly on its superficial beauty standards and discrimination on the basis of physical appearance.

I was super excited for this drama because of Im Soo Hyang. She is so pretty and to have to the label of Gangnam Beauty is not even good enough for her. I know the term doesn't mean a good thing, but she is more than a Gangnam beauty. I am glad she choose to play this role.

20. Lawless Lawyer

Lawless Lawyer also known as Lawless Attorney is a 2018 tvN legal thriller drama starring Lee Joon Gi, Seo Ye Ji, Lee Hye Young, and Choi Min Soo. The series is set in the fictional city of Kisung which is described as lawless and corrupt. The series follows the two main leads who form the Lawless Law Firm. He a is former gangster turned lawyer, seeks to avenge his mother and fight against those with absolute power. He often resorts to using his fists and loopholes in the law to achieve his goals. She is a lawyer of high integrity who works with him after she is suspended for assaulting a judge. Together they use the law to fight for justice against corrupt judge and her associates.

I love this drama because of both the lead characters. They both look good together but also because the story hits you in the head in the beginning of the series. It shows you the corrupt side of people using their powers to get and do things that are very similar in dramas that deals with legal issue, politics and even your most simple concept of rich and successful chaebols.

21. Ex Girlfriend Club

Ex-Girlfriend Club is a 2015 tvN romantic comedy drama starring Byun Yo Han, Song Ji Hyo, Lee Yoon Ji, Jang Ji Eun and Ryu Hwa Young. This series was originally scheduled for 16 episodes before getting cut down to 12 episodes when ratings proved disappointing. He is a popular writer of webtoons and wrote a series about his past relationships specifically his three ex-girlfriends, which includes an older, wealthy divorcee, a chic and successful woman who works at an investment firm, and a third-rate, airhead actress. The webtoon reveals plenty of details about his love life, and it becomes a huge hit. He is considered a cross between Public Enemy Number One and National Heartthrob and his webtoon gets adapted into a movie. She is a film producer who's prepared to do whatever it takes to save their failing production company. Because of this, she accepts the assignment to produce a webtoon adaptation. But to her horror, she belatedly finds out that the webtoon artist is her ex-boyfriend, who is writing about his ex-girlfriends. As the movie starts shooting, the project also brings his other ex-girlfriends back into his life all at the same time.

The title sound amazing and interesting plus Song Ji Hyo of Running Man is the main female lead therefore I was super excited but I stop watching this drama half way through and just waited for the drama to finish airing because it kind of got boring. Yes, I love Yoon Ji and Hwa Young and Ji Hyo but overall, I was not up and excited as I was at the beginning of the drama.

22. Cinderella and Four Knights

Cinderella with Four Knights is a 2016 tvN romantic comedy drama starring Park So Dam, Jung Il Woo, Ahn Jae Hyun, Lee Jung Shin of CNBLUE, Choi Min and Son Na Eun of APINK. This series is based on the novel with the same title published in 2011, the drama is about a group of passionate young people in their 20s who happen to live together. It drew parallels to the 2009 TV series Boys Over Flowers.

I wasn't sure about this drama to start off with. Half way through with the drama was when I was okay with this drama and really like it. There is still some disappointed but overall the drama does sort of follow that Cinderella folktale story line. The cast is also amazing too.

23. The K2

The K2 is a 2016 tvN politics action melodrama starring Ji Chang Wook, Song Yoon Ah and Im Yoon Ah of Girls' Generation. He is a former mercenary soldier for the PMC Blackstone. While in Iraq, he gets framed for the murder of his lover Raniya, a civilian. As a result, he runs away and becomes a fugitive. In the meantime, be gets assigned to guard the hidden daughter of the presidential candidate whose life is always threatened because of her stepmother. She has been recluse and lonely all her life, starts relying on him, who shows concern for her and protects her at all costs. They slowly fall in love with each other, which makes him torn between having to work with his ally in order to get his revenge and protect his new-found love against his own ally.

I didn't like this drama at all and that include my younger brother too. I do really like Ji Chang Wook doing action dramas because it sort of his specialty in terms of dramas concept but overall the drama wasn't my favorite. I also only watch this drama because of Yoon Ah too.

24. The Lair and His Lover

The Lair and His Lover is also known as She Loves Lies Too Much is a 2017 tvN musical and romantic comedy drama starring Lee Hyun Woo, Park Soo Young or Joy of Red Velvet, Lee Jung Jin, Lee Seo Won and Hong Seo Young. The drama is based on the popular Japanese manga Kanojo wa Uso o Aishisugiteru by Kotomi Aoki. It is a love story about a heartbroken genius music composer who meets the talented singer and student whilst he's living under a hidden identity. With her courageous honestly and beautiful singing, she draws him back to her time and time again. Along the way the two meets obstacles as she starts her career in the music industry and begins to uncover his lies.

This drama was okay. I love Lee Hyun Woo and Joy but together in this drama I wasn't satisfy. I wanted more, and it okay to want more from dramas because if it doesn't please you enough then that means the imagination of the writer or director or producer didn't meet you standards. Nothing against them at all but other than the music that was release from the drama, there wasn't much I like from the drama except for a couple of scenes.

Depicts the daily life and romance of a single woman when a murder case occurs in her neighborhood. At Jin Yi's request, Soo Kyung and Dae Young start eating out together and thus get involved in each other's lives. The drama focuses on building relationships between strangers through having a meal and ultimately relieving their solitude. It portrays the process of how people improve relations via food.

Let's Eat 2

Let's Eat 2 is a 2015 tvN romantic comedy starring Yoon Doo Joon of HIGHLIGHT, Seo Hyun Jin and Kwon Yul. This is the second season of the Let's Eat series with Yoon Doo Joon reprising his role as Goo Dae Young, who moves to Sejong City and befriends new neighbors and friends. Goo Dae Young is an insurance salesman, moving to the small town Sejong from the big city Seoul. He meets Baek Soo Ji (played by Seo Hyun Jin), who is his next door neighbor and grade school classmate. They befriend each other quickly and makes a contract while Soo Ji chases the love of her life, Lee Sang Woo (played by Kwon Yul). Lee Sang Woo is a civil servant who lives simply and eats simply. The sequel comes from the same PD-writer team that brought us the first season and promises another round of neighborly hi-jinks and lots of food.

Let's Eat 3

Let's Eat 3 is a 2018 tvN romantic comedy drama starring Yoon Doo Joon of HIGHLIGHT and Baek Jin Hee. This is the third season of Let's Eat series with Yoon Doo Joon reprising his role as Goo Dae Young. Goo Dae Young has fallen into a slump in his thirties. In order to heal his wounds, he embarks on a journey to revisit the food that he loved in his twenties from former college classmate Lee Ji Woon (played by Baek Jin Hee) and the two not only share their meals but also relive their memories of the past. There was supposed to be 16 episodes in this series but got cut down 14 due to the sudden draft notice for the lead actor Yoon Doo Joon.

This series is amazing. Talk about food, are you hungry because I am. I would not recommend you to watch his drama if you are hungry because you will be starving but this is such a good drama talking about food and not only is that Yoon Doo Joon plays an incredible role and because he been every season of this series, I don't think they would do another season without him. I'm guessing we are waiting for him to come back from his military service. We will wait for you!
